L. Neil's book The War Dove contains a glossary at the end. My
favorite definition is the following:
taxation: obs. var. of slavery in which some or all of individual's
productive capac. was claimed, on threat of injury, incarceration, or
death, by central authority. Usual justification was "vital"
soc. services, such as "pub. works," support for indigent, or
collectivized defense; in truth, provided livelihood for nonproductive
oppressor-class.
